Select Surfaces Button: Select two or more surfaces from the Rhino view-port
At least two surfaces must be selected. If just two are selected, your lattice structure will be linear. If three or more surfaces are selected, your lattice structure will be generated through the input surfaces, matching their interpolated curvature.
All surfaces selected must be facing the same direction and have the same
UV dataWhen selecting the input surfaces, select them in chronological order
For best results, input surface should be
untrimmed surfaces (not
trimmed surfaces)
Number of Cells XYZ: Enter the amount of unit cells for each axis
Unit Cell Gradients: Shift the slider left to right to control your lattice
Along with controlling the amount of unit cells in each axis, you can also control their size by shifting each corresponding slider
For now, gradients are manually controlled through a slider; point cloud and simulation result integration coming soon...

Unit Cell Family: Select from three different options
TPMS (Triply-Periodic Minimal Surface) Family - A group of unit cells that are made of BREP data
Member Family - A group of unit cells that are made of curve data
Custom - When selected, the user will be prompted to select geometry from the Rhino view-port. Accepted geometries: BREP (open or closed), mesh (open or closed), and curve/line. For best results, BREP data should consist of untrimmed surfaces
Unit Cell Type: Select unit cell shape from drop-down menu

Generate Button: Generates lattice with selected unit cell
Generate will populate the voxel structure with unit cell selected from above
Note: when generate is clicked, the structure created will be of zero-thickness (unless the user selects a custom cell with a volume)
Tip: once you have generated a structure, you can switch back to Voxels tab for adjustment
Thickness: Input offset distance and click thicken
Input desired offset distance in the thickness box
Click thicken to offset zero-thickness structure being previewed
Tip: structure will turn from the color aqua to the color yellow once it has been thickened
Shaded: Click check-box to preview a shaded version of lattice
Note: default preview is a wire-frame version to save computation time, shaded can take a long time*
Tip: switch between shaded and wire-frame preview for quicker iteration exploration
Done/Cancel: Closes the UI modal
Done - will save your structure to the Rhino view-port, if you have thickened your structure
Cancel - will close the UI modal
